  • Bridge over lake near hotel
  • Carts like this were common. They are often seen weaving in and out of traffic.
  • street cleaners like this woman were all over the city working all day, but most common in the morning. They all use the same bamboo brooms.
  • Another great meal. Other than the dumplings, this is a typical restaurant meal in Wuhan. The red peppers that are visible in several dishes were common, but the heat level was not that high. Most food was mildly spicy, some not at all and some moderate. Rice was served at less than 50% of the meals. common meats served were chicken, duck, pork, beef, lamb, frog, donkey, pigeon, fish and shrimp. ALL parts are used, chicken and duck feet were common. Most meats have bones in them, which gets irritating to me since I am not used to it.

  • Kay and He were great hosts. This is a Porridge restaurant. Sort of like a thick rice stew with different flavors, veggies and meats.
